Chromium is an essential mineral that your body needs in small amounts, but most people – 40% of women and 60% of men – aren’t getting enough. Chromium picolinate, the form used in Chromic Fuel®, is one of the most easily absorbed forms of chromium.

During a 72-day clinical trial, overweight and obese patients who were not on diets were split into three groups and given 400 mcg of chromium picolinate, 200 mcg of chromium picolinate, or a placebo. Those who took chromium picolinate lost an average of 4 pounds of body fat and gained an average of 1.4 pounds of muscle mass. Those who took the placebo experienced no change in body composition.
